Fair Park 80th Anniversary and Chief on the Beat

Happy 80th Anniversary to Fair Park!! The Fair Park 80th Anniversary Celebration starts this evening and goes through Saturday, June 11th. This Friday evening, June 10th, the Dallas Police Department is bringing the “Chief on the Beat” to Fair Park. There will be rides, jazz and blues bands, and several other activities and entertainment for the whole family. The Friday festivities get started at 5:00 p.m.

The Office of Community Affairs has been working alongside Fair Park Staff to bring this first ever evening “Chief on the Beat” engagement opportunity to Fair Park. The Dive team, Recruiting, Mounted and K-9 Units are just some of the units that will be in attendance. In our continued community engagements efforts, the “Chief on the Beat” at Fair Park will also have several Neighborhood Police Officers from around the city present so attendees can get to know some of the Officers that work in their neighborhood.

This is a free event and we’re encouraging everyone to come out and visit with us at the “Chief on the Beat” as we all celebrate the 80th Anniversary of Fair Park. It’s sure to be a fun night!!
