Homicide Detectives Asking for Information on Two Recent Murders

As a result of the investigation, Homicide detectives developed information linking Arrestee Eric Warren McLendon, a Black male 51-years-old, to the death of victim Comeagia Johnson on March 3, 2016. Detectives Shinn and White flew to Salisbury, North Carolina to obtain a search warrant for Arrestee McLendon’s DNA.  Arrestee McLendon was read his Miranda warning and voluntarily waived his rights by agreeing to speak with detectives.  McLendon admitted to striking the victim numerous times and leaving her at the location unresponsive.  McLendon has been charged with murder and placed in the Rowan County Jail on a $150,000.00 bond.

On March 3, 2016, at approximately 12:30 p.m., Dallas Police officers responded to a call at 2412 Peabody Avenue. Upon arrival, officers observed the victim, Comeagia Johnson B/F 32, inside the residence deceased from apparent homicidal violence.

On March 8, 2016, at approximately 9:40 a.m. Dallas Police officers responded to a call at 137 W. Hobson Avenue. Upon arrival, officers observed the victim, Allen Davis B/M 62, deceased from apparent homicidal violence inside a secondary living structure at the back of the property where he reportedly lived. 

Detectives currently have little information to go on in either of these cases.
