On July 12, 2016, at about 5:15 p.m., the Lion Tire and Wheel store at 5315 2nd Avenue was robbed at gunpoint by three Hispanic males. All three suspects arrived at the location in a black Chevrolet Suburban. Suspect 1 exited the front passenger seat and inquired about having his flat tire repaired. During the conversation, suspect 1 pulled a handgun from his waistband, pointed at the employee, and demanded his money. Suspect 1 stole cash from the employee while suspects 2 and 3 stole four tires from the business. All three suspects fled in the black Suburban.
Suspect 1, captured on video, is described as a Hispanic male, 6’ 0” to 6’ 3” in height, weighing 350 pounds, bald, with a goatee. Suspect 1 was wearing black denim shorts, a white T-shirt, and white tennis shoes. Suspect 2, captured on video, is described as a Hispanic male, 5’ 6” in height, weighing 170 pounds, wearing a black T-shirt and denim shorts. Suspect 3 is described as a Hispanic male wearing a red T-shirt. The suspect vehicle is described as a black Chevrolet Suburban. The case number associated with this incident is 168551-2016.
