Outstanding Work by Dallas Police Officers

On July 20, 2016, the Northeast Deployment Unit located and identified a stolen silver Toyota Camry traveling southbound at the 9900 block of Ferguson Road. The officers recalled that the vehicle was stolen during a robbery offense in the Northeast area of Dallas, and was used in multiple robberies throughout the metroplex over several days. Covert officers from the Deployment Unit followed the vehicle until officers from the Crime Response Team (CRT) arrived. The vehicle attempted to eluded officers before it was abandoned at the 8100 block of Claremont. Two occupants of the vehicle were apprehended immediately while the driver was tracked by the Deployment Unit to a duplex at 8200 block of Ferguson Road. After a search of the area two additional robbery suspects were apprehended at the duplex. A total of five suspects that include Jones, Rashawd B/M/18, Glaspie, Jameian B/M/19 , Williams, Taevion B/M/ 18, and two Black females were arrested as a result of great police work.

On July 21, 2016, the Northeast Crime Response Team (CRT) and the Deployment Unit responded to bait car activation at 9303 E R.L. Thornton Freeway. Officers were able to locate the suspect vehicle which fled when a traffic stop was initiated. The Fusion Unit was able to track the vehicle remotely until it became stationary. Officers were then able to affect the arrest of the suspect without endangering the public and were also able to recover property belonging to the City of Dallas.
