On August 13, 2016, Marque Townsend, a 20-year-old Back male, turned himself in to the Dallas Police Department. The suspect was arrested for murder and is in the Dallas County jail on a $100,000 bond. Click the link to view the probable cause affidavit.

On August 12, 2016, at approximately 11:38 p.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting call at 2837 E. Ledbetter Dr. Upon officers arrival they discovered the victim, Jimmy Davis, a 23-year-old Black male, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Mr. Davis was transported to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries.
The Dallas Police Department is asking that anyone with information regarding this murder contact the Dallas Police Homicide Unit at (214) 671-3625.
