Update:

The Dallas Police Department’s auto pound is fully operational and they are able to release vehicles again.

On August 14, 2016, the phones and computer lines went down at Dallas Police Department’s auto pound due to a water main break in the 600 block of W. Commerce Street.  Unfortunately, without having access to the computer system, we are unable to release any vehicles at this time. We are currently working on restoring the lines and apologize for any inconvenience. The fees accrued during the affected dates will be waived.
