Suspect Arrested for Capital Murder on Estate Lane

UPDATE: August 17, 2016

On August 16, 2016, Christopher Vance, a 27-year-old Black male, was arrested with the help of the United States Marshal – Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team. Vance was arrested for Capital Murder and is in the Dallas County jail on a $1,000,000.00 bond.

UPDATE: INFORMATION WANTED ON HOMICIDE

On August 12, 2016, at approximately 1:27 a.m., the victim, Kelvin Jackson, a Black male 38-years-old, was shot and killed in a motel room at 10921 Estate Lane.  A Black male suspect was taken into custody at the location.  A second unknown race male pictured above was also involved.  The Dallas Police Department is asking that anyone with information regarding the identity of the second unknown male contact Detective Sayers at (214) 671-3647 or the Dallas Police Homicide Unit at (214) 671-3661.

On August 12, 2016, at approximately 1:28 a.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting call in the 10900 block of Estate Lane. Upon officers arrival, they discovered four victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Victim Kelvin Jackson, a 38-year-old Black male, was deceased at the scene.  Victims Kendra Covey, a 28-year-old White female, Elizabeth Taylor-Laaker, a 20-year-old White female, and Jimmy Sangster, a 40-year-old Black male, were all transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.   The suspect, a 27-year-old Black male, was taken into custody and arrested for Capital Murder on a $1, 000, 000. bond.  A second Black male suspect has been identified but remains at-large. The suspects names and photos are not being released pending a photo line-up being shown to the victims.
