Critical Missing: Kelton Small

On September 15, 2016 at about 11:30 p.m., the victim called for police and said that three unknown suspects took her vehicle at gunpoint in the 3900 block of Altoona Drive. Responding officers made an aggravated robbery offense on case number 222896-2016. On Saturday, September 17, 2016, the victim came to the Dallas Police Headquarters and told detectives that there had been a three month old baby in the vehicle when it was carjacked. Detectives started an investigation for the missing child. Through the course of the investigation, Dallas Police detectives determined that the victim’s report that a baby was inside her vehicle during the carjacking was not true. The child has been located and is safe. The victim’s vehicle was recovered and a suspect was arrested. The victim may face charges for filing a false police report.

The critical missing case on Kelton Small has been resolved and it has been determined the initial report was incorrect. A related offense and subsequent arrest of juvenile suspects has been completed for Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle and Aggravated Robbery.

The vehicle has been recovered, the child has not been located.

On September 15, 2016, at around 11:30 p.m., Kelton Small B/M/ 3 months was last seen on the 3900 block of Altoona Drive, Dallas. His whereabouts are unknown at this time. Kelton Small was believed to be last seen in the following vehicle: gray 2004 Nissan Altima with the TX license #HDC8256.

The Dallas Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating the above individual and vehicle.  Persons with information are asked to call the Police Department at 911 or (214) 671-4268.
