Press Conference regarding Community Awareness Bulletin

Updated October 5, 2016 at 5:00 p.m.:

On October 3, 2016, the Dallas Police Department was contacted regarding a sex assault that occurred several years ago.  An interview of the complainant determined the suspect to be Jorge Ruiz, L/M/53.

On Wednesday, October 5, 2016, at 06:30 a.m., Mr. Ruiz was arrested with assistance from the North Texas Fugitive Task Force for Continuous Sexual Abuse of Young Child, Felony 1 on case number 237930-2016. (Warrant # F16-76427) The Complainant in this case was a female student.

Through additional investigation a second victim has come forward and the arrestee has been charge with Indecency with Child by Contact, Felony 2 on case number 237931-2016. (Warrant #F16-76428)

Arrestee Ruiz is a teacher at Kramer Elementary school in Dallas and shows no prior arrests. He was placed in Lew Sterrett Jail with bail set at $100,000 for each offense.

Currently there are possible additional victims that have come forward who have been scheduled for interview.

Continuous Sexual Abuse of Young Child

On Wednesday, October 5, 2016, at 06:30 a.m., Jorge Ruiz, L/M/53, was arrested with assistance from the North Texas Fugitive Task Force for Continuous Sexual Abuse of Young Child, Felony 1. The victim in this case is a female student, the case number is 237930-2016.

Currently there are additional victims that have come forward who need to be interviewed.
