Suspect Wanted in Fatal Hit and Run

On October 11, 2016 at about 9:52 p.m., the unknown suspect driver was traveling eastbound in the 2700 block of E. Ledbetter Drive, in the left lane. The suspect is believed to have been speeding over the limit and failed to yield the right of way to the victim, a pedestrian who was legally walking in the crosswalk. The victim was struck with the front of the suspect vehicle causing him to be lifted into the air and impact the suspect vehicle’s windshield. The victim then came to rest several feet away from the impact location and died at the scene. 

After striking the victim, the suspect parked his vehicle at a nearby location and walked over to the victim’s final resting place. The unknown suspect then fled without providing any type of aid to the victim and did not leave his personal information at the scene. This offense is documented on case number 244851-2016. 

The suspect is described as a Black male, 21-24 years old, short stature, with dread lock hair. The suspect vehicle is described as a white Ford Crown Victoria with after market rims and damage to the front left headlight and a broken windshield.
