Homicide on Second Avenue

On October 16, 2016, officers responded to a shooting call at the TMA Store, 2302 Second Ave.  The victim, Demarco Williams B/M/24, was found at the scene with a gunshot wound. The victim was transported by DFR to Baylor Hospital and subsequently died of his injury on October 17, 2016.  

During the investigation, a suspect was developed and on October 26, 2016, a murder warrant was issued for Odarius Griffin B/M/18.  Southeast Deployment officers located the suspect and he was arrested without incident.

On October 16, 2016, at approximately 8:34 p.m., Dallas Police officers responded to a shooting in the 2300 block of Second Avenue at the TMA convenience store.  Officers discovered victim, Demarco Williams, deceased from a gunshot wound.  The Dallas Police Department is asking anyone with information regarding the person of interest to call Homicide Detective Wilkins at 214-605-7440 or email at duncan.wilkins@dallascityhall.com.
