On October 30, 2016, at approximately 4:00 p.m., Dallas Police responded to a call regarding a male in the alley bleeding at 5339 Gurley Avenue.  The victim, Monrique Vasquez, a Latin male, 24-years-old, was found deceased with injuries to his head.  As a result of the investigation, it was determined that Pedro Moreno Jr., a Latin male, 21-years-old, was responsible for Vasquez’ death. Pedro Moreno was taken into custody at a nearby location and transported to the Dallas Police Homicide Unit, where Moreno confessed to the murder. Moreno has been charged with murder and placed in the Dallas County jail on a $500,000.00 bond.
