Through the course of the investigation, Rodney Dewayne Range, a Black male, 25-years-old, has been identified as the fourth suspect in the video wearing red. On January 10, 2017, Range was arrested and taken into custody by the U. S. Marshal Service, Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team. He was transported to the Dallas Police Homicide Unit and read his Miranda warning before being interviewed. He invoked his right to remain silent and was booked into the Dallas County Jail for capital murder with a $500,000.00 bond.
Update December 12, 2016 at 10:45 am:
Through the course of the investigation, it was determined that Rachel Sophia Burden, a White female 21-years-old; Jessica Yasmyn Ontiveros, a White female, 21-years-old; and Anthony Rashad George, a Black male, 24-years-old were responsible for the death of victim Brian Sample. On December 8, 2016, all three individuals were arrested and taken into custody by the U. S. Marshal Service, Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team, in Las Vegas, Nevada. All three suspects were read their Miranda warnings before being interviewed. Burden and Ontiveros waived their rights to remain silent and agreed to speak with detectives. They both admitted their roles in this offense. Burden was placed in the Cook County Jail for capital murder with a $250,000.00 bond. Ontiveros was booked into the Cook County Jail for capital murder with a $250,000.00 bond. George invoked his right to remain silent and was booked into the Cook County Jail for capital murder with a $750,291.00 bond. Please see the attached affidavits.
The Dallas Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance for information regarding a homicide investigation.
On November 27, 2016, at approximately 5:19 p.m., the victim, Brian Sample, a White male 46-years-old, was found deceased inside a hotel room from signs of homicidal violence at 13402 Noel Road. Detectives are attempting to identify two White females who were last seen with the victim. Detectives would also like to identify two Black males who are also pictured.
