On December 10, 2016, the Dallas Police Department concluded the year with our 5th “Coffee with Cops.”
“Coffee with Cops” is an ongoing engagement opportunity held several times throughout the year. It is a time where residents can stop by for a free small McCafe coffee and get to know their neighborhood police officers. Such community events highlight our emphasis on community policing.
When planning “Coffee with Cops,” intentional efforts go into periodically changing McDonald’s locations to connect with as many citizens as possible throughout the city of Dallas. DPD Division Chiefs, patrol officers, and local Neighborhood Police Officers (NPO) visit each participating McDonald’s.
In 2017, we will be going into our 4th year collaborating with McDonald’s of North Texas to host “Coffee with Cops” community engagement events across Dallas. We would like to thank McDonald’s for sponsoring “Coffee with Cops” for another year and we appreciate all the community members’ continuous support of our community engagement efforts.
