An End to a Crime Spree

On December 28, 2016, Dallas police officers responded to a Robbery call in the 200 block of N. Henderson Avenue. Shortly after the offense occurred, the department’s Crime Reduction Taskforce and undercover Deployment officers began to search for the suspects. Within minutes, the suspect’s vehicle, which was taken in a carjacking in south Dallas, was spotted and a traffic stop was attempted.  The suspect reversed the vehicle, hitting the squad car multiple times while attempting to flee.  After a short vehicle pursuit, the suspects eventually abandoned the vehicle in the 1000 block of Cristler Avenue and continued to evade detention on foot. The Driver, Mario Rodriguez a Latin male 19, was quickly apprehended when he was located walking to a nearby gas station.  The second suspect, Adrean Buckaloo a Latin female 20, was observed by the Dallas police helicopter hiding under a vehicle.   A BB gun was recovered in addition to various items linking the suspects to several other offenses committed within a 24 hour time period. Detectives are working to clear any offenses in which the two suspects have committed.

Great job by the CRT and Deployment officers involved in ensuring the incident was resolved safely and quickly. This incident is documented under case number 308306-2016.
