Homicide at 8098 Great Trinity Forest Way

UPDATE: January 13,2017 @ 8:45 p.m.

Through the course of the investigation, Earl Wayne Humphries, a Black male, 55-years-old, has been identified from the surveillance video as the person responsible for the murder of Luis Segovia.  A capital murder warrant has been issued for his arrest.  Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Earl Wayne Humphries is encouraged to contact the Dallas Police Department, Homicide Unit at 214-671-3661 or Detective Maudlin, #6468 at 214-671-3676.

UPDATE: 

On July 10, 2016 at approximately 4:03 a.m., victim Luis Segovia was shot and killed at the Texaco located at 8098 Great Trinity Forest Way.  The suspect, a Black male, wearing a black t-shirt, yellow shorts, black shoes and a baseball cap, stole the victim’s vehicle during the murder. The vehicle has been recovered. If anyone has information regarding this offense, contact the Dallas Police Department, Homicide Unit at 214-671-3661 or Detective Maudlin, #6468 at 214-671-3676.  A Capital Murder offense was made on case #166646-2016.

On July 10,2016, Dallas Police responded to a call at 8098 Great Trinity Forest Way, where they found the victim, Luis Arturo Segovia, L/M 21-years-old, deceased from gunshot wounds.  The victim’s vehicle was later found burned at 2300 Budd St.  The suspect is described as a black male, 35-40 years of age, 6’1″, 180-190 lbs., wearing a black cap and black t-shirt. The Dallas Police Department is asking that anyone with information about this murder contact the Homicide Unit at (214) 671-3661.
