On January 10, 2017, between the hours of 8:45 PM and 9:00 PM, the victim was southbound 400 S. Adams Avenue in the right hand lane, in his electric wheelchair.  The victim’s wheelchair was struck from behind which caused the victim to be ejected from his seat and thrown into the lane of traffic.  The suspect vehicle ran over the victims legs, resulting in two broken legs.  The suspect fled the location south bound on Adams Avenue without leaving any ID or helping the victim with medical attention.  

The suspect vehicle is described as a white Ford F-150 pickup with the bright LED headlights.  Some witnesses to the accident said the Ford F-150 had paint peeling off the hood and sits high off the ground. There is no description of the driver at this time.
