Community Meetings Held Across Dallas

The Dallas Police Department’s Homicide Unit will be hosting community meetings at various locations to discuss the unsolved murders in that specific geographical area.  The purpose of these meetings is to build relationships and foster trust within these communities, and to provide an educational component that explains the process of a murder investigation.  In addition, detectives will emphasize the importance of community involvement by residents and explain why it is crucial for citizens to have an active role and interest in the incidents that occur in their neighborhoods.   Subsequently, opening the communication lines will assist Homicide Detectives in solving cases, therefore creating safer neighborhoods.  There will be a time set aside for questions and answers; the dates, times, and locations are as follows:

  • Monday, January 30, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. – Salem Institutional Baptist Church (inside the sanctuary),3918 Crozier Street
