Update: February 25, 2017 @ 9:20 a.m.

On February 20, 2017, at approximately 3:30 p.m., the victim was shot and killed during the commission of an aggravated robbery by suspect Latwon Latrell Golf, a Black male 18-years-old at 9633 W. On February 20, 2017, at approximately 3:33 PM officers responded to a shooting call at 9633 Ferris Branch apartment 318. Upon arrival, officers found a Black female in the parking lot of the apartment complex with a gunshot wound to her leg. She directed officers to apartment 318 and Dallas Fire Rescue transported her to Presbyterian Hospital in good condition. Officers located apartment 318 and found the victim , Jason Ali Edwards B/M/39, deceased in the apartment from gunshot wounds. Dallas Fire Rescue pronounced the victim deceased  at the scene. Homicide, Crime Scene and the DCME’s office responded to the scene. A canvass of the area and witnesses interviewed stated that a silver four door vehicle was seen leaving the complex after the shooting. The witnesses stated that a B/M wearing a black and red jacket was seen leaving the apartment and entering the silver vehicle. A capital murder offense was made on case number 040603-2017.
