On March 16, 2017, at approximately 9:18 p.m., patrol officers responded to a shooting call at 4112 Sun Valley.  Upon arrival officers observed the victim, a Latin male, shot and lying on the driveway of the residence deceased.  DFR had transported a second victim to Methodist Central Hospital with non-fatal injuries.  Homicide, Crime Scene, and the DCME responded to the scene.  Witnesses stated that the they heard shots fired but did not see the shooting take place.  The surviving witness stated that several unknown Latin males approached him and the victim, and began shooting.  The Latin male victim has been tentatively identified but not confirmed.  A murder offense will be made on case number 059622-2017.
