On March 21, 2017, at about 5:33 pm, officers were dispatched to 18470 Dallas Parkway regarding an armed encounter. Upon arrival, officers were contacted by an off duty Plano police officer who was at the location to sell personal merchandise. The off duty officer was approached by three black males. During the transaction one of the suspects produced a handgun. The off duty officer pulled out a handgun and fired at the armed suspect. All three suspects fled the location. The off duty officer was not injured. At this point in the investigation we do not believe any of the suspects were injured.
