As a result of the investigation, Jermon Simmons, a Black male 34-years-old and Emmanuel Kilpatrick, a Black male 30-years-old have been charged with the capital murder of Cristobal Zepeda.  Their bonds were set at $500,000.00 each.  They were currently in jail for an unrelated charge.

On March 13, 2017, at approximately 5:15 A.M., officers responded to a major accident at 515 Pontiac.  A vehicle had run through a business gate and had hit another vehicle in the parking lot.  Upon arrival, officers discovered that the complainant, Cristobal Zepeda a Latin male 53, deceased from a gunshot wound.  Homicide, Crime Scene and the Medical Examiner’s office responded to the scene.  A murder offense was made on 056743-2017.
