The Dallas Police Department has concluded its Spring Break Impaired Driving Mobilization grant wave which ran during the enforcement period of March 4 – 21, 2017. There were 118 DWI arrests during this enforcement period. The Dallas Police Department will continue working hard by keeping intoxicated drivers off the streets with our zero tolerance enforcement on DWI’s.
The costs associated with DWI arrest and conviction can add up to more than $17,000 for bail, legal fees, court appearances, court-ordered classes, vehicle insurance increases and other expenses. Therefore, choose your ride…Drink, Drive, Go to Jail and pay the price.

The Dallas Police Department will conduct a No-Refusal DWI Initiative during the Spring Break Wave and St. Patrick’s Day Weekend. This initiative will begin at 6:00 P.M., Saturday, March 4, 2017 and will end at 6:00 A.M., Tuesday, March 21, 2017.
During this initiative, officers will secure a search warrant for a blood sample from all persons arrested for DWI who refuse to voluntarily give a breath and/or blood sample.
