The 11th Annual Northeast Community Engagement Forum took place Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at the Highland Oaks Church of Christ located at 10805 Walnut Hill Lane. The forum kicked off with delicious barbecue for all to enjoy and some table exhibits. Community members and business owners from the North East Division also had the chance to meet their Neighborhood Police Officers serving their community and had the opportunity to ask questions about what is taking place within the community.
Major Avery Moore introduced the Narcotics, Vice, Nuisance Abatement and Auto Theft Units to the community and each unit addressed their concerns.
Councilman Adam McGough commended the Northeast Division for their overall crime reduction. District Attorney Faith Johnson addressed the crowd and was more than happy to say she ‘Backs the Blue” and the Dallas Police Department has her full support.
Thank you to everyone who came out and talked to us. We know that working together with our community members is how we keep Dallas safe!
