After receiving an anonymous CrimeStoppers tip, the suspect in the offense was identified. Officers executed an arrest warrant on March 30, 2017 at about 8:00 a.m. in the 8000 block of Forest Lane. The suspect, Omar Rimlawi W/M/40, was arrested for Burglary of a Habitation and is currently in the Dallas County Jail. Officers were able to recover some of the victim’s property that was taken in the offense.

The Dallas Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying two burglary suspects. On March 10, 2017, between the hours of 3:10 a.m. and 9:00 p.m., two White male suspects entered two rooms without consent at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel located at 2121 McKinney Avenue. Both rooms were part of a large wedding party and the two suspects can be seen on video leaving with property. There was no forced entry into the rooms and a large amount of jewelry, cash, and credit cards were taken from the rooms. These offenses are documented on case numbers 055191-2017 and 054740-2017.
