The name of the arrestee from the Officer Involved Shooting is Jacquelin Arevalos, Latin female/25. She will be charged with Burglary of a Business and Aggravated Assault on a Public Servant.

On April 5, 2017 at approximately 4:41 a.m., officers responded to a Burglary in Progress call at 3071 W. Northwest Highway. The suspect, a Latin female, called police stating she broke into the location. Upon arrival, officers found the suspect inside the location. The suspect exited the location armed with a knife. Officers gave her loud verbal commands to drop the knife. The suspect refused to drop the knife and officers tased her, which was ineffective The suspect then raised the knife walking towards the officers in a threatening manner. One officer fired his duty weapon striking the suspect. The suspect was transported to Parkland Memorial Hospital and her condition is unknown at this time. No officers were injured. The offense is filed under case number 075474-2017.
