This weekend will be one year since the fatality hit and run crash that killed Gary Murray, a film critic who was walking near the intersection of Mockingbird and Central Expressway when he was struck and killed. The crash happened at about 10:15 p.m. on April 22, 2016. Witnesses described a white pick-up truck as the vehicle that struck Mr. Murray and then fled eastbound on Mockingbird Lane. Witnesses were unable to get a license plate on the truck and detectives have canvassed nearby businesses and street cameras for video of the suspect without results.
