On September 20, 2016, at approximately 7:51 a.m., victim Alejandro Morales-Martinez, a Latin male 45-years-old was found suffering from a gunshot wound in the 4700 block of Colonial Avenue.  Morales-Martinez was transported to an area hospital where he died from his injuries.  Through the course of the investigation it was determined that Earl Wayne Humphries, a Black male, 55-years-old is responsible for the victims death before stealing property.  Humphries, who is in jail for an unrelated capital murder, has also been charged with the capital murder of Morales-Martinez.  His bond is set at $500,000.00 for each charge.
