On May 14, 2017, at approximately 12:53 a.m., officers responded to a shooting call at 3200 block of  Elsie Faye Heggins Street. Upon their arrival officers discovered Dareon Merchant, a B/M 26 years old deceased from a gunshot wound. Troylett Dorsey, B/F 29 years old was also located near the call location and transported to Baylor Hospital for a gunshot wound. Victim Dorsey was treated at the hospital and released.
