On June 23, 2017, at approximately 11:48 p.m., Dallas Police officers responded to a call in the 2300 block of Denmark Street. Upon arrival, officers located the victim, Jay Nichols,  a 28-year-old White male suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries.
