On Saturday, July 15, 2017, the Year of Unity hosted the “Together We Heal” event. The event was created to help heal the city of Dallas and bring the community with law enforcement together to commemorate the July 7, 2016 tragedy. The fallen officers were honored as the community and officers enjoyed family-friendly entertainment and activities.

Everyone enjoyed free popcorn, drinks, and goody bags. The Mavs ManiAAC, Mavs Man, Champ & Drum Line, and the Mavs dancers provided the entertainment. Children were able to enjoy different activities from face painting, balloon artists, and giveaway prizes.

This event could not have been a success without the partnership of Project Unity, the Dallas Mavericks, American Airlines Center, National Police Athletic League, St. Paul, United Way Dallas, and the amazing citizens of Dallas.
