
Victim: Horace Earl Davis

On August 21, 2016, Dallas Police officers responded to a shooting call at 1730 Marfa Avenue regarding random gunfire heard in the area. A short time later, at approximately 9:05 p.m., officers responded to an actual shooting call at the same location. The Complainant, Horace Davis B/M/54, was found deceased in the driver’s seat of a parked vehicle. During the course of the investigation it was discovered that Christopher Gonzalez, seventeen years of age at the time, was a suspect in this offense. Evidence was collected that supported Gonzalez’ involvement and on August 21, 2017, a Murder warrant was issued.
On September 18, 2017, Dallas Police robbery detectives contacted the Los Angeles Police Department and requested assistance in apprehending Christopher Gonzalez L/M 18, who was on the Texas Top Ten Wanted fugitive list. Gonzalez has warrants for Murder, Aggravated Robbery, and Engaging in Organized Crime. These offenses were committed in the city of Dallas.
Dallas police detectives found Gonzalez’s location after he posted his location on Instagram Live. Gonzalez is in the Los Angeles County Jail but will be extradited back to Dallas.
The investigations are still being actively worked so no additional information will be provided at this time.

On August 21, 2016, the victim, Horace Earl Davis, was shot and killed by an unknown suspect at 1700 Marfa Avenue. Homicide detectives are asking for the public’s assistance with any information they may have regarding the murder Horace Earl Davis.
