On Monday, September 25, 2017, the City of Dallas put together a meet and greet for Chief U. Renee Hall to take a moment and introduce herself to the public.
Doors opened at 4:30 p.m. at the Moody Performance Hall and the room was filled with welcoming arms as Chief Hall entered the room. Attendees varied from community members, to City Manager T.C. Broadnax, Mayor Pro Tem Dwaine Caraway, District Attorney Faith Johnson, State Representatives, City Council Members and Dallas Police officers. After opening remarks, Chief Hall greeted, shook hands and spoke with the attendees. Although the event was scheduled to end at 6:30 p.m., Chief Hall did not want to end the event until she was able to meet every person whom was willing to speak and take pictures with her.
Chief Hall expressed her gratitude for all of the overwhelming support she has received from the community, city officials, and members of the department.
