As a result of the investigation and airing of video footage on local broadcast media stations, Detectives were able to identify the suspect as, Alex Thomas Delrio a Latin male, as responsible for the murder of Miguel Sotelo-Trujillo. A warrant for the arrest of Mr. Delrio was issued on September 28, 2017 and he was arrested on September 29, 2017. Please see affidavit below.

On April 20, 2017, at approximately 11:23 p.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting call at 4800 Leston Avenue. Upon arrival officers found the victim, Miguel Sotelo-Trujillo, Latin male 22 years old, suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries. The victim and a witness were apparently viewing street racing in the area when their vehicle was shot by and unknown suspect from a passing vehicle. The Dallas Police Department is asking for the public‘s assistance in this murder investigation.
