Keeping Dallas Safe – Officers and Community Come Together to Make Great Arrest

On November 16, 2017, at about 12:30 p.m., officers from South Central Patrol Division were flagged down at an apartment complex located at 330 East Camp Wisdom Road. A witness told officers that a Black male suspect asked the witness to come to where he was standing while exposing himself. The witness also let officers know the suspect was last seen running northbound through the apartment complex. The officers began searching for the suspect on foot. A second witness also flagged down officers and described the same male who was seen again exposing himself. Additional officers responded to the location to help search for the suspect.

Officers were able to locate the suspect and ordered the suspect to stop. The suspect refused the officers’ orders and fled on foot into a wooded area. A K-9 element along with Air 1 were called to assist with the search for the suspect. The suspect was eventually located inside the apartment complex after a coordinated search and was taken into custody.

In the course of the preliminary investigation, it was discovered the suspect had forced entry into an apartment residence inside the complex where he was originally observed. In that offense, the resident was able to push the suspect out, and no one was injured.

The suspect Montrell White, a Black male 23 years old is being charged with two counts of Indecent Exposure a Misdemeanor B, Burglary of a Habitation Felony 2, and Evading Arrest and Detention on Foot Misdemeanor A, and two warrants out of Tarrant County for Indecent Exposure. This offense is documented on case number 261606-2017.

Thank you community members for coming forward  and providing useful information during the search for the suspect. To the South Central Officers, K-9 and Air 1, good job, and a great arrest.
