Brotherhood for the Fallen Honors Fallen Trooper Damon Allen

Brotherhood for the Fallen-Dallas Chapter had the pleasure of hosting several officers from other chapters that flew into Dallas to honor  fallen officer, Department of Public Safety Trooper Damon Allen.

Brotherhood for the Fallen was started by a group of Chicago Police Department officers in 2010. Since then, chapters have been started in New York, NY, Suffolk County, NY, Aurora, CO, Fort Worth, TX, and Boston, MA.  After the tragic murder of 5 Dallas area officers on July 7, 2016,  the existing Brotherhood in Chicago, NYPD and Aurora sent over 75 officers to the funerals of the fallen Dallas officers.  Several Dallas officers personally felt the impact of their mission, and felt strongly the call to serve other departments and families of fallen officers in the same manner. As a result, the Dallas chapter of Brotherhood for the Fallen was started in the summer of 2017.

The Brotherhood’s main mission is presence.  The primary goal is to send at least two uniformed Dallas Police officers to the funerals of police officers killed by felonious acts across the nation. Brotherhood for the Fallen organizes and pays for the officer’s travel arrangements. The Brotherhood also provides a financial gift to the family of the fallen officer.
