CAPTURED: Information Needed in Homicide Investigation – 4300 Malcolm X Boulevard

UPDATE: Jeremy Demond Ward, Black/male 28 years old has been arrested for the below offense and charged with Murder.

The Dallas Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance for information needed in a homicide investigation.

On January 7, 2018, at approximately 4:08 A.M., officers responded to a shooting call in the 4300 block of Malcolm X Boulevard.  Upon arrival, officers observed the victim, an unidentified Black male being transported to Baylor Hospital by Dallas Fire Rescue with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim died as a result of his injuries. Detectives responded to the scene and interviewed witnesses. Witnesses told investigators that there was a physical altercation between the victim and an unknown Black male suspect. The suspect walked away after the fight, returned with a gun and shot the victim multiple times. The victim has not been identified at this time. A murder offense will be documented on case number 004683-2018. The investigation is ongoing.
