Police Alumni Connecting with Students

The Dallas Police Department is embarking on an exciting mentoring venture with the Dallas Independent School District (DISD).  Dallas police officers that are an Alumni of DISD is connecting with students and building bridges in the community.

This new partnership is named PACS (Police Alumni Connecting with Students).   PACS provides a great opportunity for students to know that the Dallas Police Department is here to support the students through there educational journey of success.  Today, PACS began their partnership by helping the students and staff of South Oak Cliff (SOC) High School move into their new interim location.  This is historic because SOC has been plagued with a series of problems with their facility.  While the school is being renovated, the students will be housed at a temporary campus located at 4949 Village Fair.  The officers assisted the students with decorating classrooms, moving furniture, and providing officer presence to the students.  The officers that participate in this program are genuinely concerned and care about the students’ well-being and are here to offer a helping hand in any way they can!

If you’re interested in joining PACS, please contact Sergeant Debra Thomas at 214-670-4415 or debra.thomas@dpd.ci.dallas.tx.us
