On January 29, 2018, at approximately 4:14 p.m., Dallas police responded to a shooting call at 3550 E. Overton Road.  The victim, Stanley Coleman, a black male 39-years-old was discovered shot inside an apartment.  He was transported to an area hospital where he died from his injuries.   

Through the course of the investigation, it was determined that Monnie Howard, a black male 41-years-old was responsible for Coleman’s death.  Howard was arrested on unrelated charges and transported to the Dallas Police Department Homicide Unit.  Howard was read his Miranda rights and agreed to speak with detectives.  Howard was been placed in jail for murder with a bond amount of $500,000.00.   See the below arrest affidavit for more information. The offense is documented on case number 021500-2018
