Executive Assistant Chief David Pughes Receives the Distinguished Service Award

Congratulations to Dallas Police Executive Assistant Chief David Pughes on receiving the Distinguished Service Award. Chief Pughes was recognized in the 9th Annual Public Recognition Awards by Safer Dallas Better Dallas and the Rotary Club of Dallas for his outstanding commitment and devotion to serving the Dallas community.

Chief Pughes is a 27 year veteran officer of the department and served as Interim Chief of Police from October of 2016 to September of 2017. During Chief Pughes career, he has led multiple areas of the department to include all patrol divisions, Community Engagement, Dallas Love Field Airport, SWAT, Criminal Intelligence, Homicide and the Gang Unit among many others.  Thank you Chief Pughes for your dedication to excellence and your guidance and leadership.
