On February 27, 2018 at about 1:00 p.m., officers from the US Marshal’s Task Force received information that the suspect involved in the shooting earlier today at 2323 N. Field was at a residence in the 2100 block of Hulse Boulevard. When the officers arrived, the suspect fired a weapon at the officers. The officers returned fire striking the suspect. Two Dallas Police Officers and one US Marshal were involved in the shooting. The suspect, Marlon Smith B/M/29 is deceased. Marlon Smith was the suspect who was wanted for the murder of Nancy Churchwell W/F/52 at North End Apartments. No officers were injured during this incident. Next of kin has been made.
