2018 St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Road Closures

The City of Dallas is hosting the 39th Annual Saint Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. There will be several road closures in the area and an increased police presence along the parade route and in the lower Greenville area.

The parade starts at 11:00 a.m. on Greenville Avenue at Blackwell Street and travels all the way down to SMU Boulevard. Northbound Greenville Avenue to Park Lane will be closed starting at 10:00 a.m. and southbound Greenville Avenue to Mockingbird Lane will be closed at 9:00 a.m. This stretch of Greenville Avenue, between Park Lane and Mockingbird Lane, will be closed in both directions until 4:00 p.m., so please plan accordingly if you are travelling in this area.

The Greenville Avenue Block Party will start once the parade finishes and will end at 9:00 p.m.

Dallas Police officers will be staged along the parade route and in the lower Greenville area to provide security for parade participants and spectators. Citizens are encouraged to seek out officers if they need any help or have any safety concerns.

While there are currently no documented threats toward the event, we would like to remind everyone to remain vigilant and immediately report any suspicious activity to law enforcement officials.  Please be sure to keep track of your belongings and do not leave any bags unattended.  As always, we would like for everyone to have a great time and have a safe and happy St. Patrick’s Day.

Have fun. Be Safe. Drink Responsibly.
