Information Needed in Homicide Investigation

On April 20, 2018 at approximately 8:50 p.m., the victim, Juan Cruz, a Latin male 36-years-old, was shot one time in the torso at 600 Edgedale Drive. The victim was transported to an area hospital, where he died from his injuries. Dallas Police responded, including the Homicide Unit. Through the course of the investigation, Dylan Taylor, a black male 20-years-old, was identified as the suspect who shot the victim. An arrest warrant was obtained and executed by the SWAT Unit, and the suspect was taken into custody without incident. The suspect was taken to the Dallas Police Homicide Unit to be interviewed and, after being provided with his Miranda rights, subsequently invoked his right to remain silent.
