Robbery in the Oak Lawn Area

On May 20, 2018, at approximately 1:41 a.m., two victims were walking in the intersection of Knight Street and Brown Street when they observed a Silver SUV, believed to be a Nissan Murano with a partial Texas plate of KRK nearing the intersection. The suspect vehicle was occupied by a White male and a White female. As the suspect vehicle stopped at the stop sign, the victims crossed in front of the vehicle and according to the victims, the female occupant started shouting anti (male) homosexual slurs towards them. The suspects then exited the vehicle and began to assault the victims. During the assault, the female suspect took a cell phone belonging to one of the victims. The two suspects then re-entered the suspect vehicle and fled the location. The suspects are described as a W/M 5’8, 145lbs, 20-30 years old, wearing a black –shirt, black shorts and black sneakers. W/F 5’7, 120lbs, 20-30 years old, long brown hair, dark denim jumpsuit with wedge shoes. Based on the events described by the victims, this offense has been categorized as a hate crime.  The Dallas Police Department is asking anyone with any information about this offense or that recognizes the pictured suspect, to please call Robbery Detective Reece at (214) 671-3629.
