On June 2, 2018, Officers Yi, #10684 and Gregory, #10818 attempted to perform a felony traffic stop at 1000 Commerce Street after their ALPR car alerted them to a stolen vehicle.  The passenger complied and got out of the vehicle and the driver took off in the vehicle during the stop.  Officers Yi and Gregory obtained information that the driver was most likely at a gambling hall located in the 2900 block of Lombardy Lane. The officers went to the location where they observed the vehicle in the parking lot.  Officers from the Northwest Division responded to the scene and were able to take Crystal Mendoza, a Latin female, 26-years-old into custody without further incident.  She was charged with possession of a stolen vehicle (State Jail Felony) and Evading in a Motor Vehicle (Felony 3^rd).  She had five separate probation violations for Dallas County and was also charged with Possession CS PG 1 Meth (Felony 3^rd).  Job well done Officer Yi and Gregory!
