Keeping Dallas Safe: Bait Car Arrests

Dallas Police Officers have strategically placed bait cars throughout the city of Dallas and have successfully been able to make several arrests.  On June 19, 2018 at about 1:00 p.m., Marvin Marsh, a  47-year-old White male, pulled up behind the bait vehicle and took property from the vehicle. Marsh then placed the property in the trunk of his vehicle.  Marsh was found in an apartment located at 1351 Bluebonnet in the city of Irving, TX. The property was recovered and Marsh was transported to Lew Sterrett Jail.

On June 22, 2018 Fusion notified officers of a bait vehicle activation originating in the 3700 block of Dilido Road. Fusion was able to direct officers to the suspects. The suspects Christopher Gillum, a 36-year-old Black male, Ashley Williams, a 31-year-old Black female, and Merlin Schexnayder, a 39-year-old Black male, were located at 7300 Valley Glen and were arrested and transported to Lew Sterrett Jail.

On June 24, 2018 Fusion observed Michael Urzua a 52-years-old White male, taking property from a bait car in the 200 block of North Prairie.  Urzua then left the location with the property on a rental bike.  Officers located the suspect at the 1400 block of north Carroll where he was taken into custody.  The property was recovered and brought back to the vehicle.  Michael Urzua was arrested and transported to Lew Sterrett.
