On June 25, 2018, at approximately 2:28 a.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting call at Gabby Hall Auto Parts located at 8365 C F Hawn Freeway.  The business owner, Rusom Tsegu, a 52-year-old Black male, shot and killed an unknown Latin male burglar. 

While checking on his property, the business owner observed and confronted the burglar who was in an enclosed area not open to the public.  During the encounter, the unknown burglar was shot and killed by the business owner while protecting his property from theft during the hours of nighttime. The business owner was interviewed by detectives and released pending a ruling from a Dallas County Grand Jury.

Detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the unknown deceased burglary suspect. Below is a sketch of the deceased person and his tattoos. If anyone knows the identity of this person, they are asked to please contact Detective Isom at 214-671-3701.
