July’s Officer of the Month- Sergeant James Johnson #6304

On July 11, 2018, Sergeant James Johnson #6304 was awarded July’s Officer of the Month by the Dallas Community Police Awards Committee.  A luncheon ceremony was held in his honor at the Kroger Headquarters in Coppell, TX.

Sergeant Johnson is a 28 year veteran of the Department and is currently assigned to Operation Technology. He has also been previously assigned at the Northeast Patrol Division, Auto Theft, Fusion and Central Patrol Division. Sergeant Johnson has received 99 internal and external commendations throughout his career. Additionally, he was awarded the Life Saving Award and two Certificates of Merit.

Major Elaine Paige, who nominated Sergeant Johnson as Officer of the Month, stated, “Sergeant Johnson’s leadership, knowledge, and tenure have proven to be a great asset in Technology. He is an officer who personifies ‘Service First’ with his dedication to duty, thoughtfulness, respectfulness, knowledge and enthusiasm toward his job, even after 28 years of service. He is easy-going while ensuring projects stay on task and the suspense dates are met. Sergeant Johnson is always willing to go the extra mile in achieving the Police Departments mission.”
