Promotional Ceremony

On July 24, 2018, a promotional ceremony was held at The Moody Performance Hall located at 2520 Flora Street in the Arts District of downtown Dallas.

Upon entering the Moody Performance Hall officers, their family members and friends encountered  Moody’s serene decor, ambient lighting and wood floors, that instantly gave the impression that this is a special day and an inspiring atmosphere to celebrate this level of achievement.

The ceremony began with the Dallas Police Department’s Honor Guard posting of colors, and the Dallas Police Choir singing the National Anthem.  As the audience settled back into their seats, it was that time of the ceremony to call each officer by name and present them their new badge and rank.  During the ceremony, there were ninety officers that were promoted from police officer to senior corporal, from Senior Corporal to Sergeant, and from Sargent to Lieutenant.  The audience, which was made up of family and colleagues, were delighted when small children loudly congratulated their parents from afar as they walked across the stage and received their badges from Chief Hall.  Hearing their tiny voices became one of the most memorable part of such a momentous occasion.

We congratulate all of our newly promoted officers and wish them the best of luck as they start the newest chapter in their careers.
