Update:
On August 13, 2018, at approximately 2:00 p.m., Kevin Mead was arrested for the capital murder of Marin Deleon, a 26-year-old Latin male, that occurred on August 12, 2018 at the Mountain Creek Apartments at 3246 Persimmon Road. Suspect Mead was brought to Dallas Police Headquarters and interviewed by Homicide Detective David. During the interview, the suspect admitted to a role in the murder.

On August 12, 2018, at approximately 7:50 a.m., Dallas Police responded to the Mountain Creek Apartments, at 3246 Persimmon Road, regarding a man on the ground in the parking lot with a gunshot wound. Dallas Fire and Rescue also arrived and transported the victim to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
